About CrazyJ36, his music, and life: An independent instrumental guitarist, CrazyJ36s' guitar music is original, and exciting. Conceived and produced entirely by one person, the music is put out with intent to please all casual listeners and pure music lovers'. CrazyJ36 targets A totally unique Genre 'New Age Rock', influenced by the ambient, natural rhythms of new age music and the intensity of rock music, he realized that bringing these sounds together would result in A feel very close to the origins of classical music, with atmospheric chords and full force melodies. Because of this, his music is bound to come together in A new and exciting way in each measure of A piece by way of his self-taught music theory knowledge. The guitarist, songwriter, composer, and producer behind the name CrazyJ36 is Thomas James Kennedy, born 1989 in Tampa, Florida, now residing in Central Florida. CrazyJ36 managed to decode what Music Theory is on his own using one Musical Keyboard. He has been making Music since his childhood, always looking to hear the coolest sounds possible. The conception of the artists somewhat odd name came about while he was A teenager that wanted to become A professional wrestler with friends. He realized that he was possibly 'crazy' to dream of such A life goal, so then he simply took his normal name 'T.J.', and replaced the 'T' with 'crazy', and after several hours of thinking about it, 36 actually was his favorite number! All CrazyJ36 instrumental songs come with A personal and spiritual meaning. He believes that his musical note choices come from pure acts of nature and everything around him. - 'Mountain': His first release was recorded and produced years before the public release date. He knew it wasn't much instrumentally and therefore he never thought to let people hear it. But in those years CrazyJ36 realized that A song can only consist of what the musical story has behind it. The E minor rhythm and solo guitar parts grew on him so much that he couldn't resist listening back, often. This short tune started from A pop/rock but classical party vibe and was built from his love of guitar and the theory behind modern pop and rock music, he believes it should always be uplifting. Each note was carefully picked out here to tell the story similar to that of climbing A new mountain, which he says is the same process when producing music. Released October 22, 2019 - 'Ring of Guitar': A remastered classic, the second release and personal favorite of the artist, attempts to describe the sounds of all guitar music through A rhythmic journey of multiple genres. Classical, world, rock, jazz, metal, then all over again, in one poetic story. The 'ringing of guitar strings' remains the cause of this beauty throughout. As the intro Em, C, G, D, Am, Bm, F#dim, Em chord progression in this song is what caused the spark for CrazyJ36 to grow this exciting musical journey into something for himself and others to forever enjoy. Key: Em with C# and Eb thrown in for kick, or D Chromatic Bebop. Released March 16, 2020, Remastered January 16, 2021. - 'Shamanic': When CrazyJ36 was A teenager learning music theory, life itself, and enjoying primarily rock music, he realized what he actually wanted from his guitar playing: an enjoyable, ever-changing ride with which he could learn to play to his full potential and make more intriguing music. The two songs 'Shamanic' and 'War Tooth' were composed around the same time, during his teenage years. They are experiments of intelligence based on the new genre he had discovered and had been looking to create since his young interest in music, this world/rock music. With these compositions CrazyJ36 wanted to dig deeper into world music, Shamanic is in the key of D Kiourdi and uses notes from E Chromatic UndecaMirror at times, for example. The strong song names came from his firm self-taught beliefs about life and how the universe works for life's. After he finished these songs, his focus on the new heavy world genre continued into his next release. Released March 25, 2020. - 'Experiments Fighting': This song was built seemingly at random from it's classical intro, it went from simple classical guitar, all the way to an electronic music format then back again before he knew what would satisfy his musical need using this one-point based song idea. After some years, an interesting guitar solo came into play here, leading to A Houseini musical key, then one of his old experiments with hip-hop beat making also found there way into this song as the growling metal bridge. The title is what he initially thought the song sounded-like with it's new musical scale, then he thought "Hey, all that the universe consists of is fighting mental experiments, therefore the music behind it speaks for itself". Released April 7, 2020. - 'Walk Away, My Love': The tune started from the catchy (and 'keepy') Dm, Csus2, BbM, Asus4 chord progression that he had written years prior to recording. With cheesy names and album art aside, this songs' meaning was realized shortly after CrazyJ36 finished writing and recorded it within A few hours. It seemed that this musical event was inspired by A childhood love of A woman that he just couldn't come to speak to again, and the feeling of love when it just can't happen. He also was seeing negativity and sadness in others' relationships at the time. The music builds-up to express A great feeling that comes with allowing time for ones' self. No matter lifes given situations, we can walk away and still understand and love eachother. Nearing the end of this song, the artist then quickly found new ways to express himself musically in the simple key of D minor, leading to chilling solos over A powerfull rhythm. Released April 8, 2020. - 'Know': This was actually the very first piece that ever manifested from the mind of CrazyJ36. The main ever-building string-fest originally was written when the artist was very young using A piano keyboard that was borrowed from his uncle. He had to get this rhythmic piano line out, so after he managed to fully comprehend music theory, this repeating, 'lowered' sounding piano/guitar feast was recorded with full power. The title symbolizes knowing your thoughts and sticking to plans that were naturally made, as in this song that wouldn't get out of CrazyJ36s head even after 15 years. Released June 1, 2020. - 'Gateway Dream': This was CrazyJ36s' musical uprising that aims to bring the ‘happy’ out of his previous works: "Walk Away, My Love", "Mountain", and "Shamanic". The pure musical focus of this track came from his newer musical experience that gathers some of his best talents and throws them straight at you. The song contains A cool and atmospheric flow of 'scenes', with, of course, like most of his tracks, an exciting metal section to keep the audience dancing. Inspired by the music of Miriam Stockley and made for the music lovers, and for TV! In Eb Minor. Released August 2nd, 2020. - 'Tectonic': A sudden Blues-Metal experiment from CrazyJ36, the end result could be described with A story: "As the tectonic plates of earth expand and contract, we can only ride one at A time, and viewing what our world does can lead to different musical emotions. There may be calming and safe Classical sounds on top, but knowing we could fall into burning lava rock brings the Blues, and watching and hearing earths' cracks violently shift feels like loud, intense Metal and Techno madness! This describes the feeling you get when you experience 'Tectonic' by CrazyJ36. Listen to get to the other side!". Written in the unique musical key 'A Pan Diminished Blues'. Released July 15, 2020. - 'Thunder in the Sun': This project started with another one of CrazyJ36s' experiments in the worlds' musical scales. He had discovered beauty in A pentatonic scale called Hirajoshi Japan in his childhood, and more recently A mode of Hirajoshi Japan, C Iwato. He was first inspired to write 'Thunder In The Sun' after playing the C Iwato scale in it's entirety along with full 7 string chords that transcend the scale. The soaring chorus was born. Later, while adding notes to fill the project, tonal excitement rose with expansion to 7 notes consisting of the Ab Ragesri scale. CrazyJ36 was then able to use his meditative mood experience to finish off with one feel for A song in two keys. Also, while writing the happy and jazzy verses, an intense orchestral metal bridge section arose that is sure to put you on your feet. After writing and recording, he sat for 5 days straight to improve the mastered sound of this all-genre peice to bring together the full sound effect of thunder. With the idea of echoing thunder in mind, he suddenly realized the musics' meaning: "The suns' violent rays evaporate water, showing only thunder. More powerful rays break wet atmosphere, allowing earth to fall into the sun". Released September 21, 2020, remastered November 28, 2021. - 'Musicane': Inspired by feeling he gets during the cycle of Hurricane season in CrazyJ36s' home state, Florida, 'Musicane' is A short two track single/EP that was made as one cinematic experience. After introducing the beauty that you hear while mixing piano and guitar in the bluesy 'Intro', the main track 'Musicane' improves on this with interesting world sound experiments that are placed out of rhythm for originality. Written from the G Malahari scale, and towards the end, the composition adds from D Nonatonic 2 while it gets 'extremely instrumental'. Released January 29, 2021. - 'Water and Coffee': Titled after the drinks he always has on hand, and written to create A challenge for the Guitarist, 'Water and Coffee' starts off cool like water with pop-based chords that are built around the jazzy Eb Dominant Bebop musical scale. Later, the whole tone shifts up for the coffee-induced metal section and shredding solos' in D Dominant Bebop. Yet another exciting genre-filled composition from CrazyJ36. Released March 12th, 2021. - 'Schizophrenic Escape': Inspired by the Artists' own severe Schizophrenia and abnormal actions, this song aims to be his most unique by staying abnormal in structure and chord variation. Written in C Dominant Bebop with musical ups and downs that can be beautifully natural to the ear, though dark and striking at other times. Released May 1st, 2021. - 'A Chromatic Event': Weeks of writing numerous guitar lines eventually had to come together into what turned out to be A wonderful piece that brings somewhat normal solos' from CrazyJ36 into big classical and metal inspired chord progressions. Jazz can turn into A headbanger in A split second! Released June 2nd, 2021. - 'Whispers to the Universe': A B Harmonic Minor/E Blues Octatonic composition of 5 guitar parts that resembles an orchestra. This song keeps to CrazyJ36s' New Age Rock backend. His inspiration for this piece: A Whisper never sounds like much, but it must mean A lot because we feel the need to speak... Even though we can not all speak at the same time, we may keep processing our own unheard thoughts to figure out alone with the power of the universe... CrazyJ36 music always starts from A whisper. The powerful sections of notes in this song were blurted out when the eventual need for their creation came. His hands over the Guitar are intense movements that can only picked up by listeners of these whispers to the universe. Released July 11, 2021. - 'The Extinct Remain': Inspired by the hunt for A true meaning behind beauty, written in C# Major. This latest single was created with the observation that the deceased or even extinct will always remain on earth. We can see, hear, or feel them through what they've made in magnetism, and therefore learn from them. Their ancestors' and their past remain with them in their bones, and within us they are the same. Released September 11th, 2021. - 'The Cleansing of Salt Water': Created with A fascination of the way that the universe discovered long ago how to naturally clean something as dirty as salt water by way of evaporation and gravity, working just like the polarity in magnets, therefore creating A fresh new life. This song is greatly inspired by this process and is based on the classical sound of C Hungarian Folk. The release also attempts to bring the sound of classical guitar up to date with rock and new age sounds in the heavy, ear dragging chorus and outro sections. It stays true to it's soothing key to lift the listener up from heavier sections in slowly alternating beautiful chord shapes. This is by far CrazyJ36s' most well-written piece. Released March 31, 2022. - 'Inhale the Grass': This came from A memory of despising the idea of cutting trees, and even grass. It's easy to feel torn, but we can still breath. The breathing in of what nature offers can quickly settle an irking mental state. Including the world through your lungs brings a sense of belonging, just as exhaling let's the world know that it is allowed to remain. Written in D Utility Minor, released April 13, 2022. - 'The Cloudy Rhythms I See': Symbolizes the Artists' hallucinations of faint living objects that want to speak to him. Written in F# Ritsu/B Minor. Released April 26, 2022. - 'Honchoshi Plagal Form': This piece was made and named as dedication to the musical key it's based on, D Honchoshi Plagal Form for the dark beauty in Japanese Music. This song is extremely fun for the artist to play on Guitar for this reason, it feels to him like A movement form in Tai-Chi as he aims to project the art, all while the loud metal tones blend nicely with New Age Music roots. Released June 18, 2022. - 'Wandering into Life': Starting in the key of F# Ritsu, and changing keys to F# Simantini and D Mixolydian before starting all over, this beautiful piece came about as the artist was trying to find ways of getting back into Guitar playing after months of doing other work. He then realized the title, coming from the dream of wondering freely into our own lifes after conception, while then also occasionally wandering into others' lives when born into space, which can bring all sorts of outcomes and emotions. If we survive, we're able to wander back into the memory of our own journey with new knowledge, ability, and balance. Released January 20, 2023 - 'Ear Bandit': Moving between jazzy classical and thrash metal, this release from CrazyJ36 takes his listeners by the ears and then pushes them to just rock on, using the tonally wide key of E JG Octatonic. It's A jam that will stand the test of time. Released April 14, 2023. - 'Fly Above': This song consists of A beautifully mellow first section of two Guitars playing in D Blues Octatonic. The clean rhythm guitar part is inspired by Moonlight Sonata by Ludwig van Beethoven and Malenguena by Michael Lucarelli lays the foundation for leading overdriven Guitar solos which bring the sensation of flying over A Mountain. Then, about halfway through the track, the Guitars burst into A grooving Metal section, A trademark writing technique of CrazyJ36. In this section, the songs key also changes to D Mixolydian. Always Fly Above your problems. Released May 18, 2024. - 'Music is an Illusion': A statement of the Magic that comes from Music making. This song starts in the key of A Harmonic Minor, and leads to A deep and trance-inducing bridge in C Major Bebop. Released July 12th, 2024. - 'Incomprehensible': Who knew that the basic key of C Major could rock? This song was made and titled from A reflection of the voices and hallucinations that the artist experiences, and is how he felt about the world in general at the time. Released June 16th, 2025.
